Björgvin Víkingsson 

CEO of Bónus

Björgvin Víkingsson is the CEO of Bónus, Iceland’s largest grocery retailer. He joined Bónus in 2023 as Procurement Director and Deputy CEO, and became CEO in January 2024. Prior to that, he served as CEO of Ríkiskaup (Central Public Procurement), leading national procurement and strategic sourcing initiatives. 

Björgvin also brings international supply chain and sourcing experience from roles at Aasted and Maersk Drilling in Denmark. He holds a BSc in Engineering from the University of Iceland and a Master’s degree from ETH Zürich. Today, he is focused taking Bonus to new heights where part of the journey is strengthening data maturity within Bonus to make better decisions and improve customer experience. Key in that journey is how to mature and improve master data and use standardization to improve transparency, collaboration, and performance across the stores.
