A look back at GS1 Nordic Summit 2026 in Oslo — the people, the ideas and the moments that shaped two days of Nordic collaboration.
GS1 Nordic Summit 2026
GS1 Nordic Summit 2026 brought the Nordic GS1 community together for two days in Oslo, on 7–8 May at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel. Under the theme “Navigating Trade in a New World Order,” delegates, speakers and partners from retail, manufacturing, construction, logistics and beyond explored how global standards keep supply chains trusted, transparent and ready for what comes next.
Across a main-stage plenary and parallel breakout tracks, the programme dug into the shifts reshaping the industry: the transition from traditional barcodes to 2D and QR codes powered by GS1 Digital Link; building trust in shared, standardised supply-chain data; and preparing for a wave of EU regulation — from the Digital Product Passport (DPP) and EUDR to packaging and construction-product rules. Sessions on circularity, traceability and the practical use of AI rounded out a packed agenda.
Speakers from organisations including IKEA, Tesco, PepsiCo, H&M, Accenture and GS1 offices across the Nordics shared real-world journeys — from Tesco’s move to QR at the checkout to circular textile and construction pilots — alongside a sponsor exhibition, networking and an evening dinner at the Plaza. Here’s a look back at the moments that made it.
